The first thing among the popular Naran activity is exploring new places. You can travel to a wide range of tourist attractions. But the most significant areas of interest in Naran are Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Shogran, Balakot, Kunhar River, Lalazar, Sharan Forest, and Makra Peak.

BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN NARAN:

Lake Saif-ul-Malook

Located in the Mansehra area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Jheel Saif-ul-Malook is a mountainous lake near the northernmost point of the Kaghan Valley. It has a height of 3,224 meters above sea level. It is also one of Pakistan's highest lakes. In the summer, when the weather is still favourable, Jheel Saif-ul-Malook is a lovely lake to visit. Due to landslides and excessive snowfall, access is restricted during the winter.

Balakot

In Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province's Mansehra District, Balakot is a town worth exploring. The Kashmir earthquake destroyed the city. The Government of Pakistan and Saudi Public Help for Pakistan Earthquake Victims, a Saudi humanitarian organization, provided excellent assistance for the reconstruction in 2011. The inhabitants were ordered to leave the town, but they persisted in remaining and rebuilding their homes. Although it goes by New Balakot City, the original Balakot is still respected as a national treasure.

Shogran

In Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province's Kaghan Valley, on a plateau, is the beautiful hill station Shogran. It is 34 kilometres from Balakot and 212 kilometres from Islamabad at the height of 2,362 metres. It's impossible to describe the incredible beauty of this place in words. A very calm atmosphere is created by the natural charm and the lush green grasses.

Shogran Weather:  The ideal months to visit Shogran are the summers, which last from June through August. In the winter, there is a chance that much rain will cause the soil to slide, blocking the roadways. Every year, Shogran residents present a warm welcome to visitors. They are knowledgeable about the area and make excellent tour guides. Communication won't be a problem in Shogran because Zong and Telenor offer mobile network services.

The Kunhar River

The 166-kilometre-long Kunhar River, also known as Nain Sukh at first, is mainly found in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northern Pakistan. It is situated within the Indus River watershed. It starts from Dharamsar Lake and covers the entire Kaghan valley. The Kunhar Rivers branch out into the Nanga Parbat glaciers, Lake Saif-ul-Malook, and Lake Dupidat. Fishing and water sports are popular along the Kunhar River. Moreover, it is renowned for its delicious trout. Every year, thousands of people go Fishing and rafting there.

Lalazar

Another lovely tourist destination in the Naran Kaghan Valley is Lalazar. The elevation is 3123 metres. Although it is dangerous, people still choose to travel on the Lalazar road because of the scenery. Despite being 4.2 km long, most drivers find the Lalazar route extremely difficult. Along the highway, the Kunhar River flows through a pine forest. Here in the summer, the weather is just gorgeous. This place has an enjoyable environment.

Sharan Forest 

Sharan Forest is the greenest and least developed part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Naran Kaghan Valley. It has abundant vegetation and is rarely crowded by travellers and tourists. Sharan forest has thankfully been spared from all forms of exploitation. The weather is also excellent, and we may enjoy a peaceful setting here. Temperature varies between 15 and 25 degrees here. Horseback riding and trekking are both possible here. Why should we travel to Bali when we already have Sharan Forest nearby?

The Makra peak

In the Mansehra District of the Hazara Region of the Himalayas in northern Pakistan, the Makra peak is a beautiful mountain peak. On Naran Road, it is 3,885 metres in elevation and less than 200 kilometres from Islamabad. You can reach Makra Peak's summit after around nine hours of hiking. It is primarily known for its hiking and trekking. Its steep track and snow also cause numerous casualties. The tourists still go to the top despite the beautiful Hazara view.

Naran Bazaar

Naran Bazaar is a market with small shops with tin tops, with a wide variety and diversified food. It has also made shopping easy. You can find local shops as well as international brands here. Most of the shops have traditional clothes, bags and other stuff. Hand-made embroidered clothes, bags and beautiful decoration items are also available here. The Naran Bazar is a must-go if you visit the Naran Valley.

Hiking and trekking are one of the best ways to feel our mother nature is by doing so. In Naran, you'll get many opportunities to do so. Many tracks are there in almost every famous town. The summer season is an enjoyable time for hiking and trekking in Naran. 

Rafting

Rafting is something that the boiling summer heat craves, and fortunately, the Kunhar River provides the best services. Many groups are there which guarantee the safety of the tourists with their experienced and well-trained staff. Trainers are permanent guides who are always there for our help. Whenever you visit Naran, river rafting should be something you should try as it is just a few hour's drives away.

Fishing at Lakes in Naran

Fishing at the beautiful lakes of Naran is a trendy and next-level thing. The crystal clear water of the lakes at Naran makes Fishing even more fascinating. One of the most famous places in Naran for Fishing is the lake Saif ul Malook, which is renowned for its yummy trout. 

Camping in Naran

Camping is the one thing that makes your travel experience the greatest. Most people enjoy sleeping under the sky and counting the stars. The government of Pakistan has organized many camping pods to promote tourism. Tourists can find the camping sites at Saif-ul-Malook and Lulusar Lake. Dudipatsar Lake, Babusar Top and Balakot also have places to camp. These camping pods have enough space to accommodate people, even during the peak time of the year.
